Nearly a year ago, I spotted an advertisement for the Wooly Fun Club at My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe in Logan. I’ve long loved working with wool felt, and this seemed like something right up my alley.
It was love at first stitch! I went home from that first meeting and got busy practicing everything I could get my hands on.
Each month we learned new stitches and completed a block. Here is my first try at the very first block.

I was happy with how it turned out. I still am. But I didn’t center the leaf–on purpose–one of the teachers had done hers that way with the intent of adding something-something later. But when it came time to add my something-something, I was inspired to try something else. I LOVE LOVE LOVE sunflowers, so when I saw this batik, I knew it was perfect. So here is my final October block.
