Always check for Pattern Corrections before beginning. (if there are pattern corrections, they will be linked up to those words.)

Trick or Treat (pattern & kit) is available at Midway Wool.

Cutting

When cutting out the tree, cut around the major parts of the tree first, saving the intricate cutting work for the end, like this:

Velvet Embossing

The velvet can be embossed using rubber stamps.  (You can use Presto Sheer on the back of the velvet if you prefer, iron it on before embossing.)  Place the CLEAN rubber stamp facing up on the ironing board.  Place the velvet, fuzzy side down on the rubber stamp.  Lightly mist the backside of the velvet.  Iron carefully not moving the velvet or stamp until you can see the pattern showing through on the back of the velvet.

Applique

Applique the grass to the background.

Using the placement guides, applique the black sections of the houses, the moon, and the tree (except where it overlaps the moon).

Using the placement guides, applique the windows, roofs, & pumpkins.  Needle turn the cottons & velvet.   Once the craters have been appliqued, finish the tree where it overlaps the moon.

Using the placement guides, applique the bats, cat, and Frank & the Mummy.

Now we are ready for the fun stuff, embellishing!
