Awning:

The “flaps” or half circles along the bottom are woven web half circles, 3/8 inch wide alternating white and coral.
The “stripes” are needle weave bars.  3 spokes that I couched down twice along the length (Look closely at the photo and you can tell where I couched them down.)

Shutters:

Stem stitch around the outside edges, then add horizontal straight stitches for definition.

Trim:

Hungarian Braided Chain Stitch (HBC).  Around each window, around the dormer, along the outside walls, and around the door.

Curtains:

Applique the organza in place.  Backstitch the edges adding 2 wrap French knots.  Backstitch lines to define the curtain folds.  Stem stitch the window panes.

Screen Door:

Whipped chain stitch the trim lines following the pattern guide. Add a handle: A French knot surrounded by a detached chain form the top circle. Three small straight stitches form the bottom triangle.  Then bullion knot from circle to triangle for door handle. And finally, stitch the window panes in the door window.

Wreath:

Rosette Stitch the wreath.  Add additional stitches on the side to secure it in place (and in a circle).
Add a hanging loop and a loop on each side to create a bow.  Add a short stitch over the middle to complete the illusion.

Window Boxes & Flower Pots:

Follow the detailed color maps using chain stitch, detached chain stitch, stem stitch, fly stitch, feather stitch, and straight stitch for greenery, then bullion knots, french knots, ribbon rose stitch, & detached Chain Stitches. Here is a sample of the color map (from the pattern) and how that plays out:

Siding Lines:

5/16 inch apart. Lines couched in place with same thread.  Backstitch along bottom edges of house where it is exposed (not pots or door).

Dormer & Roof:

Dormer Roof: Whipped chain stitch extending 1 chain beyond the length of each side of the dormer for overhang. House roof: Begin at the bottom edge.  Honeycomb blanket stitch working up to top edge. Backstitch around the sides and top. (Bottom edge has the blanket stitch).

Chimney:

Use the copper thread to backstitch the sides and top of the chimney.
Use the very light tan thread to add grout lines:  Straight Stitch the vertical grout lines and couch the horizontal grout lines with the same thread.
